Each year, we publish several articles that contain useful information for vaccine recipients and their families. We also publish articles with information for people who have questions about getting vaccinated—as we believe it is important for everyone to make an informed decision based on their personal circumstances. Here is a look back at some of the articles our vaccine injury attorneys published in 2024.
General Information About Vaccines and Vaccine Safety
We published a series of articles with general information about vaccines and vaccine safety. While the CDC’s recommended vaccines are generally considered safe for the majority of the U.S. population, there are certain circumstances in which getting vaccinated may not be the best option for some individuals.
Additionally, even though the CDC’s recommended vaccines are generally considered safe, these vaccines can—and do—cause serious complications in a small percentage of cases. If you have questions about vaccine safety in 2025, we encourage you to read:

Vaccine-Related Illnesses and Injuries
While serious complications from vaccines are rare, these complications can take a variety of different forms. You can find a complete list of the types of vaccine injury cases we handle here. In 2024, we also published a series of articles discussing three specific vaccine-related medical conditions that have garnered attention in recent years. If you or a loved one has been diagnosed with intussusception, Guillain-Barre Syndrome (GBS) or complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS) after receiving a vaccination, these articles provide an introduction to what you need to know:

Understanding the Costs of Vaccine-Related Illnesses and Injuries
All types of vaccine-related injuries can lead to significant costs for vaccine recipients and their families. This includes not only financial costs, but non-financial costs as well.
When you are coping with the effects of a vaccine-related injury, understanding the long-term costs of your (or your loved one’s) diagnosis is important. As we discuss below, you may be entitled to recover these costs under the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program (VICP). While we’ve discussed the financial costs associated with vaccine-related medical conditions previously, in 2024 we published an article focused specifically on understanding the “costs” of pain and suffering. Filing a Claim Under the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program (VICP)
The National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program (VICP) is a federal program that has paid more than $4.7 billion to vaccine recipients and their families since 1989. It covers most (but not all) vaccines that the CDC recommends for routine administration in the United States.
If you have a VICP claim for a vaccine-related injury or illness, you can seek just compensation for your (or your loved one’s) medical expenses, lost earnings, pain and suffering, and other losses. You can also hire our vaccine injury attorneys to handle your VICP claim at no cost to you.
When filing a VICP claim, there are strict deadlines you need to meet, and you need to meet various other requirements as well. For an overview of what you need to know about seeking financial compensation under the VICP, you can read: Filing a Vaccine Injury Claim: Deadlines, Filing Requirements & More.
Keeping Track of the Costs of a Vaccine Injury or Illness
Filing a VICP claim is a unique process. Not only do you need to meet the timing and other procedural requirements for seeking financial compensation, but you also need to prove how much you are entitled to recover. This includes proving what constitutes “just compensation” for your (or your loved one’s) pain and suffering.
While you can (and should) rely on your attorney to prove your losses on your behalf, your attorney will need your help. One way you can help is by keeping track of the day-to-day effects of your (or your loved one’s) diagnosis. COVID-19 Vaccine Injuries
Over the past 12 months, we have received an influx of inquiries about filing claims for COVID-19 vaccine injuries. At this time, injuries caused by COVID-19 vaccines are not covered under the VICP.
Instead, COVID-19 claims fall under the Countermeasures Injury Compensation Program (CICP). The CICP is very different from the VICP; and, unfortunately, it does not provide as much compensation to vaccine recipients and their families. The success rate for CICP claims is also significantly lower. We are still hopeful that COVID-19 claims will fall under the VICP in the future; and, if you have questions about filing a claim for a COVID-19 vaccine injury, we still encourage you to speak with one of our vaccine injury attorneys about your legal rights.
